Treasured Bike Racers

Cascade Cycling Classic. July 16-21
Bend, Or. The storied CCC is the greatest stage race in America, period. Snow capped mountains. Snow fed rivers. Rainbow trout. Lava fields. That salubrious whiff of pine, juniper and sage. Huge downtown crit. Thousands of happy, well-fed and pleasantly buzzed fans. Fierce competition. Tough time trial. Aggressive circuit course. Exuberance o' plenty. Gratitude galore. And Glory, forever and ever.
The CCC has it all, and more. Separate categories for Cat 2s, Cat 3s, Cat 4s, and Masters men 40+ 1-2 and Masters men 40+ 3-4. This is your best chance to preview the road race course for the 2013 Masters National Championships. And escape the traffic, smog and hell of Southern California.
Indie Hops is proud to co-sponsor the CCC for the fourth year in a row. Vertically challenged burly boys take note: there's a cool Indie Hops green jersey for the top sprinter.
For more information, please visit www.cascade-classic.org. Fun for the entire family, not to mention smoking deals on river front and mountain view properties.
On a personal note, I've been racing the CCC for nearly 20 years. It's like my Superbowl. This will be the first year in a long time I'lll be cheering from the sidelines, on account I've been busy with my new adventure: Worthy Brewery, Restaurant and Gardens, on the East side of Bend. Check it out - www.worthybrewing.com. Indie Hops is pleased that Worthy sources nearly 100% of its hops for its award winning beers from Indie Hops. This shouldn't surprise too many people since I own both.
Deals! Come on out to Worthy during your stay, bring your race number, and from July 16-21, for every pint you buy, Worthy will donate a buck to the Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation.* It's a great group that does extraordinarily good things for the youth of America.
As we like to say up here, if you have the time and money, by all means, go to Oktoberfest in Germany. If you don't, for an Old World beer drinking experience, come visit Worthy Brewing on the East Side. And, my friends, one IPA a day won't kill ya!
Register today and prepare to enter the gates of Pacific Northwest Paradise.
